Scammer Poses as Chief Justice of India

In a separate incident, a scammer posing as Chief Justice of India Chandrachud sent a viral message asking for Rs 500, claiming to be stuck in Connaught Place. The message read, ‘Hello, I am CJI and we have an urgent meeting of the collegium and I am stuck at Connaught Place. Can you send me 500rs for a cab? I will return the money once I reach the court.’ The scammer ended the message with ‘sent from iPad’.

Sources in the Supreme Court have confirmed that appropriate action has been taken regarding the scam.
