Delhi Court Orders FIR Against Trilok Chand Chaudhary for Fake Medical Report

New Delhi, September 19: A court in Delhi has instructed the police to file an FIR against Trilok Chand Chaudhary for submitting a fake medical report to extend his interim bail. Chaudhary, accused in a cheating and forgery case from 2022, was ordered to surrender within a day.

Details of the Case

Additional Sessions Judge Dr. Sugandha Agarwal noted that the medical report dated September 11, 2024, was forged. The report was supposedly from Apollo Hospital, but Dr. S.K. Gupta confirmed that Chaudhary never visited him on that date. The handwriting and signatures on the report were also found to be different from previous documents.

Arguments and Observations

Chaudhary’s lawyer claimed he visited a junior doctor, but could not provide the doctor’s name. The court found this suspicious and concluded that the report was fabricated to gain a favorable court order.

Background

Chaudhary was granted interim bail for four weeks starting August 3, 2024, due to medical reasons. He has a history of chronic heart disease and was advised to have a stent implanted. Despite his claims of ongoing medical issues, the court found no grounds to extend his bail.

Opposition to Bail Extension

Additional Public Prosecutor Manish Kumar, along with the complainant’s counsel and the Investigation Officer, opposed the bail extension. They argued that medical records showed Chaudhary’s condition as stable, providing no reason for further bail extension.
