Delhi Court Denies Bail to Jaiveer in Rs 62 Lakh Land Fraud Case

In New Delhi, the Rohini Court has rejected the bail plea of Jaiveer, also known as Jassu, who is accused of cheating Rs 62 lakh by falsely promising the sale of 16 acres of agricultural land. The decision was made by Additional Sessions Judge Sushil Kumar on October 29, considering the seriousness of the charges and the fact that Jaiveer was previously declared an absconder.

The court noted that no recovery of the cheated money has been made, and Jaiveer had been evading arrest since April 6, 2024. An FIR was filed against him at Prashant Vihar Police Station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code in 2022. The investigation revealed that Jaiveer had also taken an advance payment from another person, Ajmer, for the same property without informing the complainant.

During the hearing, it was mentioned that Jaiveer attempted to sell the land to his neighbors, but the sale was halted due to a judicial stay. Additionally, he is involved in another case in Haryana, where a person committed suicide after being cheated by Jaiveer in a land deal.

The Additional Public Prosecutor opposed the bail, citing the serious nature of the allegations. Jaiveer’s counsel argued that he has been in custody since July 17, 2024, and claimed he was falsely implicated. The counsel also stated that Jaiveer had informed the complainant about ownership issues with his brothers regarding the land.
