Delhi CM Atishi Prays at Hanuman Temple, Hopes for Kejriwal’s Return
Delhi’s new Chief Minister, Atishi, visited the ancient Hanuman temple in Connaught Place to offer prayers. She expressed her hope for Arvind Kejriwal to return as CM after the upcoming elections. Atishi thanked Hanumanji for protecting the Aam Aadmi Party during challenging times, including the imprisonment of key leaders.
Atishi took charge as CM on September 22, following Kejriwal’s resignation. She placed an empty chair beside her, symbolizing her belief in Kejriwal’s return. Atishi shared her thoughts in a post on X, emphasizing the challenges faced by AAP and the protection they received from Hanumanji.
During her visit, Atishi said, “Offered prayers at Pracheen Hanuman Mandir and Hanuman ji has been our ‘Sankat Mochan’. For the last 2 years, AAP and Arvind Kejriwal were attacked in every way possible. Efforts were made to break up, suppress us and silence us, but Hanuman ji has always protected AAP, Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi and its people. I have asked just one thing from the almighty today, to continue to shower his blessings upon us and may Arvind Kejriwal become the Chief Minister of Delhi again.”
Atishi took oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 22 after being named successor by AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. She expressed confidence in Kejriwal’s return as CM in the assembly elections expected in February next year. Kejriwal resigned on September 17 and stated he would return only with a renewed mandate and a “certificate of honesty” from the people of Delhi.
