New Delhi [India], September 15: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced his intention to resign from his position. He stated that he will not return to the role unless the public declares him honest. Kejriwal said, “I will not sit on the CM chair until the people give their verdict. If you think Kejriwal is honest, then vote for me, I will take over as CM after the elections.”

Delhi Minister Atishi accused the BJP of harassing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and avoiding elections due to fear of public anger. She said, “For the last two years, BJP has left no stone unturned to harass AAP. Thousands of raids were conducted but they could not present any proof of corruption.”

Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia also expressed his support for Kejriwal’s decision. He stated that he would only return to his position if the public approves his honesty. Sisodia praised the Delhi government’s achievements, highlighting the success of students in government schools.

Kejriwal’s announcement comes after his release from Tihar Jail, following the Supreme Court granting him bail in a corruption case related to the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam.
