Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Promises Pothole-Free Roads by Diwali

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has announced that all roads in Delhi will be free of potholes by Diwali. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts by the AAP Government to expedite road repair works. Atishi held a review meeting with officials from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to assess the progress of road repairs under their management.

The Delhi government, along with the entire cabinet, recently inspected roads managed by the Public Works Department (PWD). It was found that several roads, previously managed by the PWD, had been transferred to the Delhi Metro and NCRTC, and many were in poor condition. Atishi directed PWD officials to coordinate with these agencies to ensure necessary repairs.

During the review meeting, DMRC and NCRTC officials reported that most patchwork and pothole filling had been completed, with all repairs expected to finish within two weeks. Atishi emphasized the government’s commitment to providing better roads for Delhi’s residents and praised the collaborative efforts of all agencies involved.

She expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi will have pothole-free roads by Diwali.
