Delhi BJP President Criticizes Aam Aadmi Party Over College Funding

Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva has launched a strong criticism against the Aam Aadmi Party, accusing them of neglecting 12 colleges affiliated with Delhi University. According to Sachdeva, these colleges are on the brink of collapse due to the government’s failure to release timely funds.

Funding Issues

Sachdeva stated that the Aam Aadmi Party, despite claiming to have a profit budget and a world-class education model, has not provided the necessary funds for these colleges over the past decade. He highlighted that these colleges require around Rs 1,200 crore annually, but the government only provides Rs 400 crore in instalments.

Impact on Staff

He further pointed out that teachers and staff in these colleges have rarely received their salaries on time or in full. This has led to a significant deterioration in both administrative and academic standards.

Lack of New Colleges

Sachdeva also criticized the government for not establishing any new colleges in the last ten years, leaving the existing ones inherited from previous administrations in a state of neglect.

Government’s Response

He mentioned that government officials like Manish Sisodia and Atishi Marlena have always released the budgeted funds in instalments, often accompanied by press conferences as if these were extra grants.
