Delhi and Ajmer Face Waterlogging After Heavy Rains
Parts of Delhi faced waterlogging after a spell of rain on Sunday. Visuals from Mundka showed vehicles struggling to cross waterlogged roads amid traffic congestion. A traffic policeman was seen helping a commuter get his vehicle out of the mud.
The national capital also experienced downpours on Saturday evening, providing relief from the humid weather.
Earlier in the day, heavy rain caused severe waterlogging in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Roads were submerged, and vehicles struggled to navigate through the water. Key routes were impacted, causing difficulties for commuters.
The Regional Meteorological Centre of Jaipur issued a yellow alert for Ajmer until September 10 and an orange alert for moderate to heavy rainfall in districts like Dausa, Tonk, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Banswara, Dungarpur, Udaipur, and Pratapgarh.
On September 7, heavy rainfall in Jaipur led to severe waterlogging and major traffic disruptions.
