Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to Inaugurate New Sainik School in Jaipur
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will formally inaugurate a new Sainik School in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on September 23. This event is part of the government’s vision to establish 100 new Sainik schools across India in collaboration with NGOs, state governments, and private schools.
The Ministry of Defence has approved 45 new Sainik schools under this partnership model. These schools will be affiliated with their respective education boards but will also follow the Sainik Schools Society’s rules and regulations. They will offer an ‘Academic PLUS’ curriculum in addition to the regular board curriculum.
In September 2023, the Sainik Schools Society signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Bhawani Niketan Shiksha Samiti to establish a new Sainik School at Bhawani Niketan Public School in Jaipur. This school has already started functioning in the current academic year.
