Defence Expert Captain Anil Gaur Discusses Pakistan’s Attempts to Revive Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir
Defence Expert Captain (Retired) Anil Gaur said on Saturday that Pakistan is determined to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that Pakistan has been initiating wars since 1947 and that India needs to be more proactive.
His comments came after the Indian Army foiled an attack by Pakistan’s Border Action Team near the Line of Control in Kupwara. A group of two to three armed personnel from Pakistan crossed the Line of Control and fired on an Indian Army post, taking advantage of bad weather and poor visibility.
In the exchange of fire, one Pakistani intruder was killed, and one Indian soldier succumbed to his injuries. The Public Relations Officer (Defence) in Srinagar stated that the Indian Army is committed to maintaining the sanctity of the Line of Control and thwarting any nefarious designs by the Pakistan Army.
