Debris Blocks Badrinath Highway in Chamoli, Stranding Commuters

Vehicular movement on the Badrinath National Highway in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, has been blocked due to debris at multiple locations. The Chamoli Police reported blockages near Bhanerpani, Pipalkoti, Kanchen Ganga, Chhinka Paagalnala, and Helang. The disruption has left many commuters stranded. Authorities are working to clear the debris.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand and other states from July 3 to July 6.
