Darbhanga Police Arrests Three More in VIP Chief Mukesh Sahani’s Father’s Murder Case

The Darbhanga Police has arrested three more suspects involved in the murder of Jitan Sahani, the father of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani. The suspects have been identified as Sitare, Chhote Laheri, and Mohd. Azad. Senior Superintendent of Police Jagunath Raddi confirmed the arrests, adding that the prime suspect, Kazim Ansari, was already in custody.

The police are taking action based on collected evidence and scientific research. Following the murder, a special investigation team was formed to probe the case. The incident has intensified political discussions in Bihar, with RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav criticizing the Nitish Kumar government for a perceived breakdown in law and order.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary assured that action would be taken and the accused would be jailed. Union ministers Ramnath Thakur and Giriraj Singh also promised government action and justice for the victim’s family.

Jitan Sahani was the father of former Bihar government minister and VIP Party president Mukesh Sahani. The VIP Party, led by Mukesh Sahani, joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to contest three Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
