Surrey, UK – Danni Wyatt-Hodge, a dynamic top-order batter, is set to play for Surrey in the upcoming Women’s Tier 1 county competition. Currently, she is showcasing her skills with the Hobart Hurricanes in the Women’s Big Bash League. Before this, she represented England in the Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE. Last summer, she played for Southern Vipers in the Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachel Heyhoe-Flint Trophy but has now decided to move to Surrey for the 2025 season.

In Surrey, Wyatt-Hodge will join her England teammates Sophia Dunkley and Alice Capsey. Expressing her excitement, Wyatt-Hodge stated, “I am both excited and honoured to be joining Surrey. She is England’s all-time leading run-scorer in Women’s T20 Internationals, with 2,979 runs in 164 matches. She began her county career with Staffordshire at 14 and made her international debut at 19 in 2010.

Emma Calvert, Surrey’s Director of Women’s Cricket, expressed her excitement about Wyatt-Hodge joining the team, stating, “Danni’s career speaks for itself, and we believe she will add strength and depth on the field as well as adding to the team off the field.” Calvert is eager to see Wyatt-Hodge’s impact on the new Surrey women’s team.
