Dabur to Invest Rs 400 Crore in Tamil Nadu for First South India Plant
Dabur, a well-known consumer goods company, is making a significant investment of Rs 400 crore in Tamil Nadu. This marks Dabur’s first manufacturing venture in South India. The new plant will be located in the SIPCOT Food Park in Tindivanam, Villupuram district.

The announcement was made by Tamil Nadu’s Industry Minister, TRB Rajaa, on social media. He expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Welcome to Tamil Nadu, Dabur! In fact, welcome to South India!” The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Dabur plans to invest Rs 400 crore in phases, starting with an initial investment of Rs 135 crore. The project is expected to create 250 direct jobs and thousands of indirect job opportunities. This development will also benefit local farmers by providing new avenues to sell their agro-produce.

Minister TRB Rajaa highlighted the positive impact on the local economy, especially for farmers in the nearby Delta region. He stated, “Dabur will invest Rs 400 crore in this facility which will create 250 plus jobs. More importantly, it will open up new opportunities for farmers in the nearby Delta region to sell agro-produce to be processed in this facility.”
