D Raja Urges Congress and INDIA Bloc to Reflect on Haryana Election Results

In New Delhi, Communist Party of India General Secretary D Raja emphasized the need for the INDIA bloc, particularly Congress, to reflect on the Haryana election outcomes. He questioned the lack of trust and cooperation among the bloc’s parties during seat-sharing discussions. Raja highlighted that Congress failed to accommodate several parties despite promises, affecting the election results.

Raja also pointed out that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) capitalized on caste affiliations and divisions within the INDIA bloc, which contributed to their success in Haryana. He criticized BJP’s claims of staying in power until 2047, suggesting that the party lacks historical contributions to India’s foundation.

Regarding the Jammu and Kashmir elections, Raja noted that the BJP’s “disastrous policies” led to their rejection by the people. The National Conference, led by Farooq Abdullah, secured a majority with 42 seats, while BJP won 29 seats. In Haryana, BJP emerged as the largest party with 48 seats, while Congress secured 37 seats.
