Nearly 6 lakh people were relocated to safer areas, including 6,000 pregnant women moved to health centers. The weather department confirmed that Cyclone Dana has weakened into a deep depression.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the cyclone moved north-northwestwards and weakened, with wind speeds reducing. Relief and restoration work has begun, with Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj noting that electricity will be restored once the rain stops. Flight operations have resumed at major airports in Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
