As Cyclone Dana nears the Odisha coast, State Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari announced that around 10 districts are expected to be affected. The evacuation process has concluded, with 377,000 people relocated to safety. Relief efforts include 7,307 centers, 4,756 of which are operational, and 6,454 animals have been moved to safety. Medical and veterinary teams are on standby, with 213 medical and 120 veterinary teams deployed.

The response force includes 385 teams, comprising 19 NDRF, 51 ODRAF, 220 fire services, and 95 Odisha Forest Development Corporation teams. The India Meteorological Department reported Cyclone Dana moving northwest at 13 kmph, currently 60 km from Dhamara, Odisha, and 170 km from Sagar Island, West Bengal. Special Relief Commissioner Deoranjan Singh assured that the situation is under control, with officials monitoring key areas. The cyclone is expected to make landfall after midnight, with the government aiming for zero casualties.
