Customs Officials Seize iPhone 16 Pro Max at Delhi Airport
On October 1, customs officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi seized 12 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices from four passengers arriving from Dubai. The Customs Department reported that these individuals attempted to smuggle the phones into India. Further investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident on the same day, a woman traveling from Hong Kong to Delhi was caught with 26 iPhone 16 Pro Max phones hidden in her vanity bag. She was arrested based on specific intelligence received by the Customs Department.
Additionally, on a different occasion, a passenger from Dammam to Delhi was intercepted for hiding two gold bars inside his phone’s battery compartment. The gold bars weighed around 200 grams.
Earlier, on September 28, customs officials seized 2,739 grams of gold from seven Uzbek passengers traveling from Almaty. Six passengers were arrested, and a juvenile was apprehended under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.
