Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Meets Norwegian Prime Minister
Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently met with Jonas Gahr Store, the Prime Minister of Norway, in Oslo. The meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Norway by enhancing collaboration in various fields.
Focus on Economic and Trade Cooperation
The discussions centered on boosting economic, trade, and investment cooperation in key sectors such as energy, infrastructure, advanced technology, renewable energy, air transport, and scientific research. Several bilateral agreements were signed to support these initiatives.
Key Agreements Signed
One significant agreement was between the General Civil Aviation Authorities of the UAE and Norway to improve air transport services, aiming to enhance trade and tourism ties. Another important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Khalifa University of Science and Technology and the Arctic University of Norway – Tromso, focusing on academic cooperation in areas like artificial intelligence and climate action.
Strategic Partnerships
ADNOC and Equinor signed a strategic cooperation agreement to explore carbon capture and storage and low-carbon hydrogen opportunities. Additionally, Masdar announced several collaborations, including a Strategic Framework Agreement with Equinor and MoUs with Yara and ICP Infrastructure to explore green energy projects in Europe.
