Cricketers and Celebrities Attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s Grand Wedding in Mumbai
Famous cricketers like Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Shreyas Iyer attended the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Suryakumar and Chahal were part of the winning team of the 2024 T20 World Cup under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, where India beat South Africa by seven runs in the final match in Barbados.
Shreyas Iyer, who helped Kolkata Knight Riders win the 2024 Indian Premier League, also attended the wedding. Former Sri Lanka skipper and Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene was present as well. Apart from cricket personalities, FIFA president Gianni Infantino graced the wedding ceremony of the youngest son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani.
The opulent wedding celebrated Indian culture with a theme ‘An Ode to Varanasi,’ featuring traditional food and decor. The menu included Banarasi street food like chaat, mithai, lassi, chai, khari, paan, and mukhwas. The carefully curated stalls and dedicated guest services were designed for attendees to enjoy the event and take away lasting memories of their journey through the ghats of Banaras.
The wedding festivities will continue with ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ on July 13 and culminate with the Mangal Utsav or wedding reception on July 14, promising three days of revelry and jubilation for the Ambani and Merchant families.
