CR Kesavan Criticizes JMM-Congress Alliance Ahead of Jharkhand Elections

As the Jharkhand elections approach, BJP national spokesperson CR Kesavan has criticized the JMM-Congress alliance, calling it a ‘citadel of corruption’. He accused them of disrespecting the Constitution and predicted their defeat in the upcoming November elections. Kesavan stated, “The Jharkhand government run by JMM and Congress alliance is a citadel of corruption in this country. They have no respect for the Constitution. They only respect corruption.”

The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23. The BJP, along with its allies AJSU, JD(U), and LJP, has announced its candidates. Babulal Marandi will contest from Dhanwar, Lobin Hembrom from Borio, and Sita Soren from Jamtara. Former Chief Minister Champai Soren is nominated from Saraikella, Geeta Balmuchu from Chaibasa, Geeta Koda from Jaganathpur, and Meera Munda from Potka.

According to the agreement, AJSU will contest 10 seats, JD(U) 2 seats, LJP 1 seat, and BJP the remaining 68 seats. Jharkhand has 2.60 crore eligible voters, including 1.31 crore males and 1.29 crore females, with 11.84 lakh first-time voters.
