Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], July 18: K. Ramakrishna, the Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Andhra Pradesh, visited Guntur to attend a state-level general body meeting at the CPI office. During the meeting, Ramakrishna highlighted that Andhra Pradesh has not received special status for the past ten years and urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to demand it.

Ramakrishna criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not keeping his election promises, such as providing 2 crore jobs annually since 2014. He stated, “It is unfortunate to see that no action has been taken.” He accused PM Modi of repeatedly doing injustice to Andhra Pradesh and expressed disappointment that the central government’s behavior has not changed after the 2024 elections.

Ramakrishna also mentioned that despite the BJP’s reliance on parties like TDP, JDS, and Shiv Sena, they have not done justice to states like Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. He expressed concern over the increasing number of crimes against girls in the state and urged the Andhra CM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take preventive measures to protect girls and women.
