Tragic Death of NCP Leader Baba Siddique Sparks Reactions

In New Delhi, CPI leader Annie Raja expressed concern over the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique, highlighting the “worsening law and order situation” in Maharashtra. She emphasized that such incidents show how easily culprits can escape justice.

BRS leader Mahmood Ali condemned the crime, urging strict monitoring of those who commit such acts. Congress Uttar Pradesh President Ajay Rai mourned Siddique’s death, calling him a source of inspiration and a dedicated social worker.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Siddique would receive full state honors during his cremation, recognizing his service as a minister and chairman of MHADA.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has registered a case at Nirmal Nagar Police Station under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Arms Act, and Maharashtra Police Act. Delhi police will send a special investigation team to assist in the investigation.

Sources suggest that a suspected gangster aimed to establish influence in Mumbai through this crime. Siddique, part of Ajit Pawar’s NCP faction, was shot near Nirmal Nagar in Bandra and succumbed to his injuries at Lilavati Hospital.
