During a recent court hearing, Judge Shaista Khan Kundi denied Gandapur’s request to be excused from appearing due to health reasons, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant. The judge ordered the SHO of Bhara Kahu police station to arrest Gandapur and present him before the court on September 5.
Background
On October 30, 2016, police stopped and searched Gandapur’s car at a check post on Rukhsana Bangash road while he was heading to Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala. The police claimed to have recovered four Kalashnikovs, ammunition, a tear-gas fire gun, and bulletproof vests from his car. These items were displayed at the Bara Kahu police station in Islamabad.
