Court Issues Arrest Warrant for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM Ali Amin Gandapur

Judge Shaista Khan Kundi of the session court ordered the SHO of the Bhara Kahu police station to detain Gandapur and bring him before the court the next day. The court had earlier summoned Gandapur in connection with the recovery of weapons and alcohol.

On October 30, 2016, police found firearms and alcohol in Gandapur’s vehicle during a checkpoint search on the Rukhsana Bangash route. Gandapur was traveling to former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s home in Bani Gala at the time. The police displayed the recovered items, which included bulletproof jackets, ammunition, tear gas fire guns, and four Kalashnikov rifles, at the Islamabad police station in Bara Kahu.
