On October 22, the Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) conducted a significant operation across ten locations in Kashmir, detaining seven suspects. The operation led to the recovery of 14 mobile phones, a laptop, and other incriminating materials. The raids took place in districts such as Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama, Anantnag, Budgam, and Kulgam.

The CIK successfully dismantled a recruitment module of the newly formed terrorist group ‘Tehreek Labaik Ya Muslim’ (TLM), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), operated by a Pakistani handler known as Baba Hamas.

Earlier, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team visited a construction site in Ganderbal where seven people were killed. The team was led by a Superintendent of Police from the agency’s regional branch.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the need for security forces to remain vigilant, condemning the violence against civilians. He assured that the administration would ensure public safety.

The incident involved terrorists attacking a construction site on the Srinagar-Leh national highway, resulting in the deaths of a doctor and six non-local workers, raising security concerns in the region.
