Controversy Over DMK’s Shared Map

DMK’s Response to BJP’s Criticism

In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, DMK spokesperson TKS Elangovan addressed a controversy regarding a map shared by the party’s NRI wing. The map, criticized by the BJP for excluding Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Aksai Chin, was claimed by Elangovan to be prepared by the government of India, not the DMK. He suggested that the map highlighted the GDP contributions of various states, with BJP-ruled states contributing less than Tamil Nadu.

BJP’s Accusations

The BJP accused the DMK of betraying India’s sovereignty by sharing the map. They alleged that the DMK harbors secessionist values and deepens the North-South divide. The BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit expressed these views on their social media platform, X, and demanded an apology from DMK chief MK Stalin.

Call for Unity

BJP leader H Raja criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, questioning the party’s national pride. The BJP urged the nation to unite against the DMK’s alleged dangerous affiliations and reaffirm India’s sovereignty.
