Congress Suspends Leaders for Welcoming BJP’s Kailash Vijayvargiya in Indore
The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has suspended two of its leaders, Sadashiv Yadav and Surjit Singh Chaddha, for ‘indiscipline’ after they welcomed BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya at the Congress office in Indore.
The suspension notices, dated July 20, were issued to both leaders, requiring them to respond within seven days. The notice stated that welcoming Vijayvargiya, who is accused of undermining democratic values, was considered indiscipline.
Congress leader Mukesh Nayak criticized the act, stating, “Kailash Vijayvargiya is a leader who made our official candidate for Lok Sabha elections withdraw his candidature. Welcoming such a person to the Congress office is indiscipline.”
Nayak added, “We are not against extending courtesy, but the Congress office is not the appropriate place for this. They have been suspended, and further action will depend on their replies.”
Sadashiv Yadav mentioned that he has submitted his reply but has not yet received any further response from the party.
Notably, Vijayvargiya had visited the Congress office to invite them for a mega plantation drive on July 12.
