Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Criticizes PM Modi and CM Yogi’s Slogans
In Palamu, Jharkhand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge expressed strong criticism towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for their slogans “Ek hai toh safe hai” and “batenge toh katenge”. Kharge accused them of using divisive language to undermine national unity and show dominance.
Kharge stated, “He (PM Modi) is saying ‘Ek hai toh safe hai’, UP CM Yogi Adityanath is ‘batenge toh katenge’. Let them decide which slogan will run. We have kept the country safe. Now people have come to break the country and that is why such a language is being used. If they worked by taking everyone together like Congress, then such things would not have come up. Their intention is to finish unity and try to show your dominance.”
He also expressed confidence in the gathbandhan alliance’s victory in the upcoming Jharkhand elections, stating that every party leader trusts their workers to secure a win. Kharge mentioned that the Congress is in a strong position in Maharashtra as well, with everyone working together to form the government.
Meanwhile, PM Modi criticized the opposition, particularly the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), calling them a “vehicle without wheels or brakes” and accusing them of “misgovernance” and “looting” the people. He also accused the Congress of trying to create divisions among tribal communities, which he described as a major conspiracy.
The Maharashtra legislative assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, while the Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23.
