Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Criticizes PM Modi for Undeclared Emergency

New Delhi [India], June 25: In a strong attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused the PM of hiding his shortcomings by digging into the past. Kharge claimed that the ‘undeclared emergency’ felt by 140 crore Indians over the last 10 years has severely harmed democracy.

Kharge stated, ‘Modi ji talks about consensus and cooperation, but his actions are contrary to this.’ He pointed out that 146 opposition MPs were suspended from Parliament and criticized the passing of laws without proper discussion.

Kharge also mentioned instances like demonetization, the hastily implemented lockdown, and the Electoral Bonds law as examples where the Modi government did not use consensus or cooperation. He emphasized that the 17th Lok Sabha had the lowest number of bills in history, with many bills passed in less than an hour.

Kharge concluded by saying that the BJP has ruined democracy and the constitution, while Congress has always supported these values and will continue to do so.
