Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Criticizes BJP Over NEET-UG Exam Issues

New Delhi, June 22: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has strongly criticized the ruling BJP government for alleged corruption and irregularities in the NEET-UG exam. He accused the BJP of promoting corruption and the education mafia, claiming that 70 question papers were leaked in the last seven years.

In a post on ‘X’, Kharge questioned why the BJP has not taken any action so far. He also criticized the delay in notifying the anti-paper leak law, accusing the Education Minister of lying about its status. Kharge pointed out that despite the law being passed, papers continue to be leaked, and the government has not taken strict action.

Kharge highlighted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has faced criticism for irregularities in this year’s NEET-UG and NET exams, leading to protests across the country. He questioned why the Modi government is not conducting the exam again despite admitting to irregularities.

In response, the Ministry of Education has formed a high-level committee of experts, led by former ISRO chairman Dr. K Radhakrishnan, to recommend reforms in the examination process and improve data security protocols. The committee will submit its report in the next two months.
