Criticism of BJP
Kharge criticized the BJP government, accusing it of causing unemployment and inflation. He stated, “Congress had made Maharashtra the most prosperous and developed state of the country, but the BJP government has destroyed the industries and pushed the people into the vicious circle of unemployment and inflation. Farmers have been subjected to the most injustice.”
Preparing for Elections
Kharge stressed the importance of preparing for the upcoming state elections and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. He praised the party’s performance in the recent Lok Sabha elections and congratulated the leaders and workers of Maharashtra Congress.
Save Constitution Campaign
Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole highlighted the success of the ‘Save Constitution’ campaign initiated by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, which contributed to the party’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting was attended by key leaders including former party chief Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, AICC in-charge for Maharashtra Ramesh Chennithala, and state leaders like Nana Patole, Vijay Wadettiwar, Prithviraj Chavan, and Vishwajeet Kadam.
Election Results
In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won nine seats, Shiv Sena secured seven, and NCP managed one seat in Maharashtra. The Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, which includes Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Shiv Sena (UBT), bagged 30 seats in total.
