Congress MP Shafi Parambil Criticizes Government Over NEET-PG Exam Postponement

Ernakulam (Kerala) [India], June 24: Congress MP Shafi Parambil criticized the central government for postponing the NEET-PG examination, calling it a ‘heinous crime’ against the country’s future. He stated that even LKG exams have more credibility and questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the issue.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare postponed the NEET-PG exam, originally scheduled for June 23, due to alleged paper leaks and irregularities. The ministry promised to announce a new date soon and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to students.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the NEET-UG exams, faced criticism and protests over similar issues. In response, the Ministry of Education formed a high-level committee led by former ISRO chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan to recommend reforms in the examination process and data security protocols. The committee will submit its report in two months.
