Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda Confident of Winning Haryana Assembly Polls

New Delhi, India – Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda expressed strong confidence in winning the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. He stated that both the BJP leadership and Chief Minister Khattar are aware that the BJP is losing ground and the Congress will emerge victorious.

After attending a Haryana sub-committee meeting at Himachal Bhawan in New Delhi, Hooda said, “People of Haryana have decided that they will form a Congress government in the state. Both the BJP leadership and Khattar sahib know this. BJP workers recognize that they are not getting respect in the party and the party has no future in the state.”

RS MP Kumari Selja also commented on the BJP’s candidate list, noting the party’s frustration and lack of strong candidates. She mentioned that the BJP has been in power for 10 years, but now people are leaving them, and they are bringing in candidates from outside. She questioned why the Chief Minister, who won a seat four months ago, is now contesting from another seat, suggesting there must be some weakness.

The BJP’s first list of candidates includes Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini contesting from Ladwa, Gian Chand Gupta from Panchkula, Anil Vij from Ambala Cantt, Kanwar Pal Gurjar from Jagadhri, Sunita Duggal from Ratia, Bhavya Bishnoi from Adampur, and Tejpal Tanwar from Sohna.

Meanwhile, Haryana Minister and BJP leader Ranjit Singh Chautala resigned from the Cabinet after being denied a ticket. He announced his decision to contest as an independent candidate from the Rania seat, following the BJP’s decision to field Shishpal Kamboj from that constituency.

Voting for the Haryana assembly polls will be held on October 5, with votes counted on October 8. Jammu and Kashmir will also go to the polls on September 18, 25, and October 1, with votes counted on October 8.
