Congress MP Deepender Hooda Confident About Haryana Elections, Criticizes BJP’s Governance

Congress MP Deepender Hooda expressed confidence on Monday that his party will win the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. He criticized the BJP for what he called ‘misgovernance’ over the past 10 years, citing issues like unemployment, crime, and drug problems in the state.

Hooda stated, ‘No challenge for Congress, we will form the government with complete majority and the BJP is also aware of that. That’s why they changed their CM, then Deputy CM, then cabinet then state president then the date of the election and then again. Everyone is tired of BJP.’

He further added, ‘The issue is of 10 years of misgovernance by the BJP government. In 10 years, the BJP has derailed the state of Haryana from the track of progress and development. Today Haryana is number 1 in unemployment in the country, in crime Haryana is number 1. Today, Haryana has gone ahead of Punjab in intoxication. Such is the situation that Haryana is number 1 in the country in insulting every section.’

Hooda also expressed his confidence in Kuldeep Vats, the Congress candidate for the Badli assembly constituency, saying, ‘We are confident that our candidate Kuldeep Vats will win with a huge majority in the Badli assembly constituency. The people of Badli have decided that they have to bring about a change in Haryana.’

On Sunday, Congress released its second list of nine candidates for the upcoming elections. In a significant boost to the party, former wrestler Vinesh Phogat and wrestler Bajrang Punia joined Congress on Friday, just a month before the polls.

The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The counting of votes will take place on October 8. In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP became the single-largest party with 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats.
