Congress Leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge Discuss Haryana Elections
On June 26, Congress leaders held a meeting in New Delhi to discuss preparations for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. The meeting was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal.

Mallikarjun Kharge shared on social media that the meeting focused on election preparations. He criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for betraying farmers and youth in Haryana. Kharge stated, “BJP has betrayed the farmers and youth of Haryana. Many congratulations to all the newly elected MPs of the Congress Party and every Congress worker. In the coming elections, we have to gain the trust of people of all thirty-six communities.”
Kharge further accused the BJP of halting Haryana’s development over the past ten years. He mentioned issues like rigged recruitment exams, atrocities on Dalits and backward classes, increased crime, and lack of new infrastructure. He also criticized the Agneepath scheme and unfulfilled promises like increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers and the “Beti Bachao” scheme.
Kharge emphasized the need for Congress to unite and raise the voice of the people. He concluded, “We all have to unite and raise the voice of the people. Today, a meeting was held with the leaders of @INCHaryana and preparations for the upcoming assembly elections were discussed.”
