Congress Leaders Complain About BJP Worker’s Birthday Celebration in Bhopal Police Station
Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijaya Singh and state Congress chief Jitu Patwari have raised a complaint with Bhopal’s Commissioner of Police regarding a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker, Naresh Jadhav, who held a Sunderkand path inside Ashoka Garden police station on his birthday.
The Congress leaders alleged that this event, which took place on Thursday, violated the rules and demanded action. They also sought permission to hold a similar Sunderkand path at TT Nagar police station for a Congress worker’s birthday on Saturday.
After meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Jitu Patwari stated, “The Commissioner of Police has asked for two days’ time to look into the matter. If no action is taken in two days, then we will decide our upcoming strategy.”
Patwari emphasized that the incident was a violation of the service book rules and demanded either the suspension of the police station in-charge or permission for the Congress party to hold similar events in all police stations in Bhopal.
Bhopal Commissioner of Police, Harinarayanchari Mishra, confirmed that a show cause notice has been issued to the police station in-charge and that the matter is under investigation.
Additionally, Congress leader PC Sharma wrote a letter seeking permission to organize a Sunderkand path at TT Nagar police station on July 20 for Congress worker Bunty Jain’s birthday, similar to the event held for BJP worker Naresh Jadhav.
