In Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, a recent encounter between security forces and terrorists resulted in the tragic death of a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Army. Senior Congress leader Ravinder Sharma expressed his sorrow over the incident, highlighting the loss of Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar and injuries to three other para jawans.

Sharma also mentioned another tragic event where two Village Defense Committee members, Nazeer Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, were kidnapped and killed by terrorists in the same region. He criticized the government’s claims of normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir, arguing that terrorism has increased significantly over the past year and a half.

Sharma urged the government to address the worsening conditions in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need for enhanced security and protection for the people. He stated that while the nation stands united against terrorism, it is the government’s responsibility to create a framework to combat it effectively.

The Army’s White Knight Corps honored the sacrifice of Naib Subedar Rakesh Kumar, who was part of a counter-insurgency operation in the Bhart Ridge area of Kishtwar district. The Corps expressed solidarity with the bereaved family during this difficult time.
