Congress Leader Ramesh Chennithala Criticizes Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Over Allegations by MLA PV Anwar
Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], September 21: Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of protecting wrongdoers in response to allegations made by MLA PV Anwar. Chennithala stated, “Kerala CM is trying to shield all the culprits. He has given a clean chit to his political secretary and ADGP and all those who are involved in crimes.”
MLA PV Anwar, who is from the Communist Party of India (Marxist), raised serious issues about the CM’s political secretary and the ADGP, including allegations of gold smuggling and inappropriate meetings with RSS leaders.
In response, the Kerala Government has started a Vigilance Inquiry against two senior IPS officers, M.R. Ajithkumar and Sujith Das, following a formal complaint by MLA Anwar. The inquiry will look into allegations of misappropriating valuable trees, accepting bribes, and misappropriating seized gold.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan commented that Anwar should have addressed these issues within the party before going public. He mentioned that an elite investigation team has been formed to look into the matter.
