Congress leader PC Sharma has asked for permission to hold a Sunderkand Path at TT Nagar police station in Bhopal on July 20 to celebrate the birthday of party worker Bunty Jain. Sharma pointed out that similar permission was granted to BJP workers.

Sharma wrote a letter to the TT Nagar police station in-charge on July 18, requesting permission for the event. He stated, “It is requested that the birthday of our Congress worker Bunty Jain is on July 20. We all want to organise a Sunderkand Path in TT Nagar police station on his birthday to pray for his long life.”

Former Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh, state Congress chief Jitu Patwari, and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar plan to meet the Police Commissioner to request permission for celebrating birthdays of various workers in police stations. Sharma emphasized that if permission is not granted, they will consider legal action.

Notably, Congress leaders were stopped outside Ashoka Garden police station on Thursday while trying to register an FIR against state Minister Vishwas Sarang. They were told to submit their application outside the premises due to a Sunderkand Path being recited inside.
