Congress Leader Pawan Khera Criticizes BJP for Spreading Lies and Twisting Rahul Gandhi’s Speeches
New Delhi, India – Congress leader Pawan Khera launched a strong attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday, accusing them of spreading lies on WhatsApp and editing videos of Rahul Gandhi over the past 10 years. Khera made these remarks during a press conference.
Khera’s Accusations
Khera stated, “We were defeated in 2014 and 2019. We introspected and learned, but the BJP, which is now losing in 2024, did not learn any lesson. They spread lies on WhatsApp, edited Rahul Gandhi’s videos, and made baseless comments about him.”
He further claimed that the BJP’s IT cell started distorting Rahul Gandhi’s speech within 10 minutes of its delivery. Khera emphasized that despite having everything, the BJP did not learn from their mistakes.
Prime Minister’s Response
Khera noted that it was good to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the House, answering Rahul Gandhi. He mentioned that the PM will have to address issues like NEET, inflation, and petrol prices.
Democracy vs. Dictatorship
Khera criticized PM Modi for avoiding people’s questions by hiding behind patriotism, the army, or religion. He stated, “In a democracy, dictatorship has to bow down. We will not allow this business to continue.”
Election Results and Hindu Awakening
Speaking on the election results in Ayodhya and Varanasi, Khera said, “Hindus have awakened. 2/3rd of Hindus voted against you. There are 111 crore Hindus in this country, and you know how many votes you got.”
Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP-led government of a systematic attack on the idea of India, the Constitution, and those who resisted. He mentioned being personally attacked and interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for 55 hours.
Gandhi also called the Hindu symbol ‘Abhayamudra’ the symbol of the Congress party, representing fearlessness, reassurance, and safety. BJP members objected to his remarks, accusing him of insulting the Hindu religion.
