Congress Leader Kharge Enters Well of House Over NEET Discussion

New Delhi, June 28: Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh expressed his disappointment that senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge was not allowed to speak in the Rajya Sabha, leading Kharge to enter the well of the House. Ramesh explained that Kharge was demanding a discussion on the NEET paper leak, which affects many students, but his requests were ignored.

Ramesh defended Kharge’s actions, pointing out that similar protests have occurred in the past. He mentioned that when Ghulam Nabi Azad was in the Congress party, he also entered the well in protest against the abrogation of Article 370.

Kharge emphasized the importance of discussing the NEET issue, stating that the paper leak has caused significant concern among students. He criticized the Rajya Sabha Chairman for ignoring his requests and accused him of favoring the ruling party.

The opposition’s insistence on discussing the NEET issue led to the adjournment of both Houses of Parliament. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar expressed his shock at Kharge’s actions, stating that it was unprecedented for the Leader of the Opposition to enter the well of the House.
