Congress Leader Isha Khan Choudhary Discusses Strengthening Party in West Bengal with KC Venugopal
New Delhi [India], July 29: Congress leader Isha Khan Choudhary met with Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal on Monday to discuss ways to strengthen the Congress party in West Bengal. Choudhary, who is the only Congress Lok Sabha MP from West Bengal, said, “We had a meeting about how to strengthen our party in West Bengal. We asked for suggestions from everyone. We discussed what more we can do in West Bengal.”
When asked about any major changes in the party’s leadership in the TMC-ruled state, Choudhary stated that it would be decided by the high command. “It will be decided by the high command. The main reason for the meeting is for the strengthening of the organisation in West Bengal,” he said.
Currently, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury is the President of Congress in West Bengal, and there is speculation about changes in his role after he lost the Baharampur constituency in Lok Sabha 2024. Isha Khan Choudhary won from the Malda-South constituency this year.
In related news, Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with BJP’s Members of Parliament from West Bengal. They discussed serving the people of Bengal and contributing to the vision of Sonar Bangla. PM Modi instructed the MPs to stay active for the upcoming assembly elections and serve the people of the state. Majumdar shared this information through his official X handle, stating, “Met PM Narendra Modi today along with the MPs from West Bengal. We are united in our commitment to serve the people of Bengal and contribute to realising PM Modi’s vision of Sonar Bangla.”
