Congress Leader Dharmapuri Srinivas Passes Away at 76

Dharmapuri Srinivas, a former president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee and a former minister, has passed away at the age of 76. According to his family, he had been suffering from an illness for some time and died of a heart attack at 3 am on Saturday.

Srinivas had a long and distinguished career, serving as a Minister, Member of Parliament (MP), and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president in the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. He is survived by his two sons. His second son, Dharmapuri Arvind, is currently the MP of Nizamabad, while his elder son Sanjay has previously served as the Mayor of Nizamabad.

Telangana Minister for Transport and BC Welfare, Ponnam Prabhakar, expressed his condolences over Srinivas’s death. He remembered Srinivas’s services as a Minister and PCC Chief and his long association with him in the party. Prabhakar conveyed his condolences to the family and prayed for their strength during this difficult time.

Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare, Dansari Anasuya Seethakka, also expressed her deepest condolences. She prayed for Srinivas’s soul to rest in peace.
