Congress Confident of Winning More Seats in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir Elections
In Jaipur, Rajasthan, Congress National Spokesperson Supriya Shrinate expressed confidence in the party’s performance in the Haryana Assembly elections, despite exit polls predicting a clear majority for Congress. She stated, “We will win many more seats in Haryana than the exit polls indicate. We will also form a government in Jammu and Kashmir with a clear majority.”
Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan also shared optimism, suggesting the party could surpass its 2005 record of 67 out of 90 seats. He emphasized the Congress’s efforts to highlight the BJP’s “10 years of misgovernance.” Exit polls, including TV-Today C-Voter and Republic TV-Matrize, forecast a Congress victory, projecting 50-62 seats for Congress and 18-28 for BJP.
The counting of votes for the Haryana assembly elections, involving 1,031 candidates, will take place at 90 counting centers. Votes for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, held in three phases, will also be counted.
