Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge Criticizes PM Modi and Amit Shah Ahead of Jharkhand Elections

As the Jharkhand Assembly elections approach, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has voiced criticism against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Speaking in Kanke, Jharkhand, Kharge highlighted the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, and Babasaheb Ambedkar in establishing reservation and rights under the Constitution. He accused PM Modi of centralizing power, stating, “PM Modi doesn’t see the good things the others have. He sees only 2 big people and Amit Shah. No one can speak in the cabinet. Only PM Modi can speak and Amit Shah will do. All the powers are with him.”

Kharge also commented on the extensive campaigning by BJP leaders in Jharkhand, a state with 81 assembly seats. He remarked, “In the Jharkhand elections, PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and many ministers are campaigning here. There are 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand but ministers and Chief Ministers from Assam and other parts of India are campaigning in Jharkhand.”

Kharge expressed confidence that Hemant Soren will continue as Chief Minister, stating, “Their (BJP) objective is to snatch Jharkhand and come to power and remove a tribal CM…They will not be able to remove the Jharkhand government from power. Hemant Soren will become the CM of Jharkhand again.”

The Jharkhand Assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting on November 23.
