Congress and AAP Discuss Alliance for Haryana Elections, BJP Criticizes Move

In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari announced that discussions are ongoing between the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Haryana elections. Tiwari stated that Congress is prepared to contest every seat and has already released its first candidate list. He also predicted that the BJP would not secure double-digit seats in the election.

When asked about athletes Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat joining Congress, Tiwari mentioned that Phogat chose Congress because they supported her during difficult times, unlike the BJP.

AAP MP and General Secretary, Organization, Sandeep Pathak, confirmed that the party is ready to contest the elections with full strength and is awaiting leadership’s orders to announce candidates. AAP MP Raghav Chadha also expressed optimism about forming an alliance with Congress for the Haryana Assembly Elections, emphasizing that it is in the national interest.

Deepak Babaria, AICC in-charge of Haryana, confirmed talks with AAP and mentioned that other INDIA bloc partners like the Communist Party of India (CPIM) and the Samajwadi Party have also approached Congress for a potential alliance.

However, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala criticized the potential alliance, stating that it lacks mission and vision. He pointed out that AAP and Congress are rivals in Punjab and Delhi, suggesting that their alliance in Haryana shows desperation.
