CM Yogi Adityanath Talks About OBC Community and Government Jobs in Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the Samajwadi Party for favoring a single caste in government job appointments during their rule. He highlighted the BJP’s efforts to recruit OBC members and support their community through various initiatives.

Addressing the BJP Backward Class Front’s state working committee meeting, CM Yogi mentioned that during the Samajwadi Party’s rule in 2015-2016, 56 out of 86 SDMs appointed by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission belonged to a single caste, which he described as detrimental to the OBC community’s interests.

He emphasized that the OBC community possesses the strength of Bajrangbali (Lord Hanuman) and needs to awaken to counter divisive forces. Over the past six and a half years, approximately 650,000 government recruitments have been made in the state, with 60 percent of the positions filled by members of the OBC community.

CM Yogi pointed out that those questioning the recent 69,000 teacher recruitments in basic education are the same individuals who favored selecting 56 out of 86 officials from the same family and community under the Samajwadi Party. He emphasized that 125,000 teachers were recruited in basic education under his administration.

Regarding the 27 percent reservation policy for the 69,000 teacher positions, while it would have ensured 18,200 OBC recruits, the government appointed 31,500 teachers from the OBC community. He stated that the opposition parties are troubled by the increasing success of OBC youth, securing many seats based on their intelligence and abilities.

CM Yogi also discussed the Kanwar Yatra, which was banned during the tenure of the SP, BSP, and Congress governments. He noted that the Kanwar Yatra is not only a spiritual pilgrimage for devotees of Shiva but also a source of livelihood for small shopkeepers and artisans, which previous governments disrupted.

He criticized the Samajwadi Party for allegedly aligning with mafia elements responsible for the deaths of Raju Pal and Umesh Pal in Prayagraj, accusing the party of plunging the state into chaos, lawlessness, and riots by fostering ties with criminal elements.

CM Yogi highlighted the Uttar Pradesh government’s initiative under the Chief Minister Krishak Accident Insurance, which provides five lakh rupees to farmers and sharecroppers, noting that many in the agriculture sector belong to the OBC community.

He mentioned that the temples of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, Lord Krishna in Mathura, and Mahadev in Kashi were desecrated during societal division. He pointed out that the OBC community, which has traditionally been involved in cow care, was adversely affected when cows were taken from them and handed over to butchers, leading to an increase in cow slaughter.

CM Yogi emphasized that the double-engine government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the OBC community. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India the world’s largest economic power by 2047. He called on everyone to work together towards achieving this goal and realizing the vision of a developed India.

OBC Morcha National General Secretary Sangam Lal Gupta, State President Narendra Kashyap, and In-Charge Ram Pratap Singh Chauhan, along with a large number of BJP workers, were present at the program.
