CM Yogi Adityanath Speaks on Hindu Plight in Bangladesh and Criticizes Opposition

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 14: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his concern for the minority Hindus in Bangladesh and criticized the opposition INDIA bloc for their silence. He thanked PM Modi for revealing historical truths and highlighted the ongoing suffering of 1.5 crore Hindus in Bangladesh.

CM Yogi Adityanath stated, “We want to thank PM Modi for lifting the cover from these dark chapters of our history and opening the eyes of the people. The horrors that took place during partition can be seen even now. 1.5 crores of Hindus in Bangladesh are screaming to save themselves but the world is silent. All the secularists in India are silent. In India also they (the opposition) are silent because they are scared that if they raise their voice, their vote bank will be affected.”

He accused the opposition of prioritizing their vote bank over human suffering and claimed that the Congress party promoted a divide and rule policy post-independence. He quoted Maharishi Arvind, saying, “After independence, Maharishi Arvind said that in the spiritual world, Pakistan has no reality. Either it will merge with India or Pakistan will be finished from history forever.”

CM Yogi Adityanath compared the current situation in Bangladesh to the atrocities during the 1947 partition, mentioning recent violence against Hindus. He questioned when lessons from historical mistakes would be learned.

Recently, a minor clash occurred between Bangladesh Army personnel and minority Hindus protesting the disappearance of family members during the violence. Bangladesh is facing political turmoil, with Sheikh Hasina resigning as Prime Minister on August 5 amid protests led by students against the government job quota system.

Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government, visited the Dhakeshwari Temple in Dhaka and assured minorities of their safety. He stated, “Rights are equal for everyone. We are all one people with one right. Do not make any distinctions among us. Please, assist us. Exercise patience, and later judge — what we were able to do and not. If we fail, then criticise us.”
