CM Yogi Adityanath Plants Trees in Lucknow for PM Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath planted saplings at his official residence in Lucknow as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. This campaign, launched on World Environment Day, encourages people to plant trees in honor of their mothers.

Prime Minister Modi also planted a peepal tree at Buddha Jayanti Park in Delhi and urged everyone to participate. CM Yogi mentioned that 54 crore saplings have been prepared in UP for this cause.

About the Campaign

During his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, PM Modi explained that the campaign aims to honor the special bond with mothers by planting trees. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in combating global warming and protecting the environment.

World Environment Day is observed every year on June 5 to raise awareness about environmental issues globally.
